PHILOSOPHY

Here you will find XHSA's philosophy and rules for raids.  Members of all levels of raiding are expected to abide by theses rules.  If you are looking to join XHSA to raid you should know how we manage raids and the expectations we have to participate.

Our raiding philosophy.

XHSA takes on a raiding philosophy that puts the initiative to become successful in raiding on the player itself while providing the opportunity to gain that initial starting experience.

We focus on producing results and seek  people who are serious about producing them as well.
Results mean completing the challenges set forward by the game by using methods and strategies that yield the most consistent rates of success.  This means players entering raids must have a serious, self driven, desire to be effective at completing the content and be willing to run the meta to increase their chance of success.  This is to ensure that the time resources we are investing will yield raiders that can succeed in any raid team environment and eventually transition into our experienced raiding pool.

It is important to note that we do not offer training.
Do not come here seeking training.  We were a guild that had done training in the past and found it ineffective at creating raiders that were proactive, motivated to raid, and constantly willing to improve.  While we are willing to provide the opportunity for you to gain experience, you will be expected to make every effort to inform yourself on encounters and understand/practice your class/build on a golem before being permitted to enter a raid.  We are here to support only raiders that are willing to be self sufficient.  There are plenty of resources available to inform yourself and we are always happy to answer questions.  However, the time for questions and informing yourself is not during a ready check.

We do offer casual raids. However, these are not intended for training or weekly kills.
For these raids there are no experience requirements.  These are targeted to help people get a footing in raids and supplement players already seeking out experience in other places.   Take notice, these are not training, you will still be expected to know the fights via videos and guides and be able to run something meta.  However you should not be afraid to ask questions to supplement your knowledge you've learned from other sources; your raid leader is there to help after all. Also take notice these are not for players to obtain weekly kills.

You may have to pug to make a timely entry into the raiders pool.
The experienced raiding pool has the highest expectations and standards of all of our raiders as its where we draw players for our full clear static teams, our fillers for those teams, and challenge mote runs.  The experience requirement is moderately high and you will not be able to complete it in a timely manner by just our casual raids.  This is intended as this pool's goal is to include only those raiders that are willing to step up to higher expectations and are independently driven to progress and improve.  That includes being willing to step outside of a pre-planned, low expectations, casual guild environment into a public one where the standards will be higher.  We feel the guild can not make this step for raiders if we are going to ensure the high quality this pool currently yields.

RULES

Below are the social rules of conduct that members are expected to follow to maintain a respectful and relaxed team environment.

Respect your fellow team members' time.
This is our most important rule.  We are all people who value their time and consider it very disrespectful to be made to wait.  If you are on a static, have a reserved casual raid slot, or being asked to fill on a particular day, you are expected to show up on time for the full duration.  If you are late to a raid or excessively AFK you will likely be replaced in a manner of minutes.  While real life can happen sometimes, habitual tardiness, constantly leaving early, and excessive AFK will increasingly exclude you from being able raid here.

Respect your fellow team members.
Respect for your team members is pivotal to be able to raid with XHSA.  It is important to never forget this is a video game.  No raging or excessive finger pointing.  Our success or failure is the sum of all 10 member's performance and cooperation.  Respect is the most important element in cooperation so please conduct yourself and any criticism respectfully.

Do not "grade" your fellow team members.
With the rise of DPS meters this does bring a new social element into raiding that can have positive and negative impacts.  Let it be said, we do not endorse use of any 3rd party programs.  While players are free to use them at their discretion, it is not okay to use them to grade your fellow members, publicly, in real time,  or unsolicited.

Do your best to maintain a positive and fun attitude.
We all have our good and bad days in raids and we are always here to have fun.  Nobody likes a downer and we're all here to succeed, so try to keep it relaxed.

#RAIDERS GUIDELINES

Competency proof and submission.
Persons that wish to be in this pool, considered for statics, fill for full clear runs, or be considered for challenge motes and other achievements must meet our competency requirements.  These can be found by clicking the button above.

Confirm you are able to attend your raid for the full duration.
The roster is posted every week in your teams discord channel.  You are expected to confirm your attendance and that you can stay for the full 3 hour duration.  If you are being asked to fill that day we will ask you to confirm you can make it.  If things change to where you can not make it, may be late, or will have to leave early, communicate this to us before the raid.  No notice no shows or spontaneously leaving early can result in your removal from the pool.

Maintain good standing within the guild.
Members must have and maintain an active record, have kept up with meta changes, and have good standing in the guild with representing and attending guild missions if they are online to maintain membership in our experienced raiding program.  Do not make the mistake of thinking that just because you are in this pool, the other guild expectations are more relaxed.

An actively willing to assist attitude.
Raiders taken into the program will be expected to have a helpful attitude and fill every once in awhile when they themselves do not need a particular boss or achievement.  This whole thing works out well because people can selflessly help others in groups and challenge motes.  Lets keep it to where we never have to go outside the guild for a raid.
